The eight tracks of Metropolitan Daydreams, Ted Trobaugh’s latest CD, comprise an extended tone-poem that explores the myriad rhythms and diverse personalities of a vibrant city. From sunrise over a river as it flows past old mills, parks and homes; to a harried drive to work; to the raucous efficiency of a factory; to the darker glimpses of a forbidding alley; to the quiet end of the day with close friends – a life in the city, in all its joys and pleasures, mysteries and challenges, is portrayed.
